More stock is available, but likely not for long
Nintendo has restocked its in-demand The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition Switch 2 hardware, with new availability from the company's own online store. But getting the limited edition console won't be easy; Nintendo's website is getting hammered under extreme demand, with stock going in and out of availability.
The Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition officially launched on Thursday, Oct. 29, and Nintendo is meeting demand with a replenished stock of the console. It's available for $519.99.
Announced in September during a Nintendo Direct showcase, the Legend of Zelda-themed Switch 2 hardware features a black, gold, and green color scheme that is reminiscent of franchise protagonist Link and his Triforce of Courage. Accordingly, the console and its matching controllers display a cluster of triangle-shaped decals surrounding a Triforce symbol and the Hylian Crest.
Nintendo also has Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition versions of the Pro Controller, which costs $99.99 — or $10 more than a typical Pro Controller — but that controller is currently showing as sold out. A Zelda-themed carrying case and screen protector were also released, but there doesn't appear to be any fresh stock of that Zelda-themed hardware.
Unfortunately, major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart appear to be sold out of the Nintendo Switch 2 – The Legend of Zelda – 40th Anniversary Edition.
