Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2026 — Everything Announced
Microsoft's Tokyo Game Show 2026 Xbox broadcast is over, and we've got everything announced right here so you can catch up with all the news.
We got the campaign trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, and confirmation that Mads Mikkelsen is in the game. We also got new trailers for Sega's Crazy Taxi World Tour, ArtPlay's Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, and Atlus' Persona 4 Revival. I thought Raji: Kaliyuga looked pretty cool, too.
But the headline news here came from Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, who provided development updates on OD and Physint, now both Xbox games. We have confirmation of the actor playing the lead role in Physint, and a cool first-look poster. Neither game has a release date yet.
If you need a catch-up, everything announced is below. And let us know what you're looking forward to in the comments!
And that's a wrap!
Microsoft's TGS broadcast is over, and there was plenty in there for fans to get excited about. Let us know what you thought of the show in the comments.
Hideo Kojima!
Hideo Kojima did indeed turn up at the end of the Xbox broadcast to talk about Kojima Productions' partnership with Microsoft. He spoke about meeting new Xbox boss Asha Sharma to discuss the future of video games. As we know, Kojima is working on OD – KNOCK for Xbox, with production "proceeding on schedule." Expect more information "later down the line."
And Kojima mentioned Physint as a new Xbox game. He says it's the "culimation of more than 40 years of my career." It's making "steady progress," he added. Kojima also revealed the actor for the lead role... Bill Skarsgård! Expect more casting announcements in the future. "This has been Hideo Kojima," he signed off.
Well, that was a surprise!
Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement
We got a fresh look at side-scrolling action game Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement during the show. ArtPlay revealed new gameplay from Koji Igarashi's new metroidvania, set in the gothic world of 16th Century England. The new trailer showcases the game’s fast-paced 2.5D action, with protagonists Leo and Alex battling their way through formidable enemies while exploring a sprawling, cursed land. Expect a release date in 2027.
Genigods: Nezha
We got a detailed look at Genigods: Nezha, an action RPG rooted in ancient Chinese genesis mythology from Genigods Lab, coming out in 2028. Here's the official blurb:
Genigods: Nezha is an ARPG rooted in the chaos of ancient Chinese creation mythology. Play as Spirit Pearl, the first being forged by the Goddess of Creation Nüwa. Dive into iconic Chinese genesis tales, battle Colossal Gods, and experience the unique combat of Chinese-style celestial showdowns.

Developed through a collaboration between a small French studio and veteran Japanese developers, this gorgeous anime-style world is threatened by a mysterious disease that corrupts the land as you progress through the story, opening new paths in areas you’ve already explored.

Once Human: Isles of Abyss
Once Human: Isles of Abyss got a release date reveal trailer. The free-to-play "strange worlds survival game" releases the Isles of Abyss expansion on October 22 on Xbox Series X and S with full cross-play. Once Human is already available now with Xbox Game Pass.
Raji: Kaliyuga
I thought Raji: Kaliyuga was one of the standout games from Xbox's TGS broadcast. The developer commentary video, from Indian studio Nodding Heads Games, focused on gameplay and gave us a good look at what to expect from combat. Raji: Kaliyuga features dual protagonists: Raji, with acrobatic martial arts and the Trishul, and Darsh, with immense Siddhi powers that control gravity, time, and energy. It introduces customized evasion for Raji and a siddhi-yielding system for Darsh, allowing unique combat styles. The game shifts from an isometric action-adventure to a third-person action-adventure.
Raji: Kaliyuga is coming to Xbox Series X and S and Xbox on PC as an Xbox Play Anywhere title and with Xbox Game Pass. Certainly one to watch.
Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories
Koei Tecmo showed a new trailer for Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories, due out in February. It confirms the return of Rutger and Lenja from Atelier Yumia. Now experienced members of the Aladiss Pioneering Team, the two support Karia and her companions on their new adventure, with their interactions with new companions revealing new sides of both returning characters.
Atelier Karia tells the story of Karia, who has no memories, as she faces her past. New features add to the strategy of battles and depth of alchemy. Synthesized items take on new roles during exploration, and ingredients can be eaten to gain effects.
Faraday Blues
We got a world premiere! Serenity Forge, the publisher of Vivarium, revealed surreal sci-fi adventure Faraday Blues. The game is three interconnected visual novels about a daughter searching for parents who don’t know she exists. It's coming to Xbox Series X and S and PC in 2027, with Xbox Cloud support.
Bloomwalker
Studio Ghibli-inspired cozy crafting adventure Bloomwalker is "joining the Ni no Kuni universe," Xbox has confirmed. Players travel with a moving house to cleanse the pollution spreading across the land, restoring its sanctuaries and freeing its guardians. It's coming to Xbox Series X and S and Xbox on PC.
Hope in the City

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
As expected, Xbox showed a new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which is set in Korea, among other places. The campaign video sets up iconic hero Captain Price as the target this time. A face-off with Ghost is inevitable. And we also have confirmation that Mads Mikkelsen is in the game!
Here's the official blurb from Xbox:
