Check Out New Shudder Horror The Cycle | IGN Fall Fan Fest 2026
Today at IGN Fall Fan Fest 2026 we got to see a clip from Shudder's new creepy crime thriller The Cycle, complete with an introduction from the movie's star (and the voice of Faye in the upcoming God of War Laufey), Deborah Ann Woll.
Woll plays Meg, a forensic anthropologist whose career takes a turn when her father's body turns up at a crime scene. Even more worryingly, that's one of the least weird things to happen in the movie, and without giving anything away, things go from police procedural to true supernatural spookiness in the best possible way. Horror author Stephen King even took to X to give it a shout-out.
"There's a movie coming on Shudder in October called THE CYCLE. I don't usually pump up horror movies (unless they are mine, haha), but this is special. Put it on your calendar."
It's written and directed by Jordan Downey, and you might have caught his work in V/H/S/Beyond, where he contributed Stork - a truly horrifying tale of a police unit investigating cases of missing babies - to the horror anthology series.
The Cycle will be released on Shudder on October 23.
